it depends on the tattoo I guess in my opinion.
Ummmm…I have three tattoos. One on the inside of my wrist and two on my lower back where you can’t see them unless I’m wearing a bikini as they are very low down. I have two hibiscus flowers next to each other, so they’re not very big-they’re and inch and half long!
I’ve already decided that once I start to go wrinkly I’ll just cover them up and nobody need know they are there. Well, apart from the one on my wrist which is really small-its my son’s initial.
I’m not overweight either, I’m 5 ft 2 and 8.5 stone.
I think wearing hot pants and boob tubes makes them look more tacky though as they’re not exactly the most sophisticated items of clothing.
High heels aren’t a good idea for me as since having my son 8 months ago I tend to go for flat shoes. When the sun comes out, out come the Birkenstocks!!!
I’ve not showed the tatts on my lower back for over a year as I felt uncomfortable about my tummy, but now its beginning to flatten again I might just wear a bikini when I go on holiday in a few months!
Well, I don’t think that tattoos are “Tack or Cheap” because it all depends. Because sometimes people gets tattoos of things that are really important to them, Like meanings and what not. Or when people in bands have them [ Oliver Sykes ] I think they look pretty rad. [:
But, I do agree with what you said, I mean Overweight ladies shouldn’t do that, But neither should anyone else you get that tattoo for you’re self because it means something to you, And if you do want to show it off get it put some where appropriate. But i’m not gonna go rip on the people who are doing that.
No. Tattoos are in no way classy. And when you get older – oh dear… However, each to their own. My cousin is heavily tattooed and she is happy with herself, so if it works for you then fair enough.
However I always remember my uncle who had a lot on his arms, once he reached 50, they just became smudges and he always said he wouldn’t have them if he could back and do it all again.
I also think that people with tattoos do themselves a disservice in terms of careers, as peoples perceptions must mean that they get overlooked a lot for certain jobs….

im 45 and ive got 8 tatoos…there is 1 at the base of my back..butterfly with wings open with celtic scroll round it…chinese writing on my right upper arm saying(strong woman) a baby lizzard on the left hand side of my back called liz in scroll writing jerry mouse on my right ankle..a red rose on my right breast…on my left bum cheek there is the name brian it was my first husband with lovely patterns round it..its a big 1..
there are 2 small ones on my left upper arm from buffy the vampire slayer…
although for work i wear a smart suit..in summer i wear a short denim skirt and heels..small t shirt and when people who are used to seeing me other wise dressed i turn a few heads.. so tacky and tastless no sexy and classy oh yes just you ask my man.xxxxx liz
In my point of view, tattoos could be a form of self expression or even an artwork. But this really depends on a lot of factors like the artist, design and also the person carrying the tattoo. It could look tacky and cheap if the tattoo doesnt suit the person, bad design, or bad artist

But no i love tattoos I have loads.
some ‘home made’ one do ….but if you get them from someone who is trained and artistic they can look great….It’s not necessarily the tattoo that’s cheap and nasty it can also be the person it’s adorning……with all their flab oozing over their clothes which are usually far too small for them ….lol.

well it goes depend how they are done and looked after.
when people get fat and they stretch it looks disgusting.
also when they have too much sun exposure and end up with brown wrinkly skin and a faded tattoo.
both together is just stomach churning
I think if the tatt is small and in a normal place, then its just cute, but if its big and in the wrong place then it just looks trashy.
THAT sounds tacky! but i dont think my tiny little elephant on my back that only my hubby sees is tacky, or my very little star sign on my ankle is tacky, but each to his own i guess
I like tattoos, but it depends who they’re on and what they’re of, but if it means something to them that’s all that matters. I don’t like ar se antlers.

I have a blue butterfly on my left shoulder…..but I am a slim person and I can conceal it if I want to.
Depends on who it’s on, but there are some women that look damn sexy with tattoos. On the other hand, there are some women that are an abomination.
The same goes with bikini’s, though.

the tatoos are very eroctic things if put on hips and thighs or above boobs… but the skin gets tanned when its removed…
I suggest to go to temporary tatoo rater than fixing up a permanent tatoo………………

Cheap and tacky tattoos look cheap and tacky, but the vast majority seem to be pretty well done, in my eyes.
Don’t forget the delight of the lobster/pasty white skin markings around the bra strap area, too!

but i dont like tramp stamps. i think no matter what you get there.. its just tacky n slutty.
The other day I saw an elderly lady with a walking cane & she had barbed wire anklet tattoos around both her ankles. It was so wrong.
i think tattoos are ok depending on what they are and wear they are but you have to think about when your old it will still be there
